Evolutioneyes Optometry was founded in 2018. The idea came to Dr. Colberg after countless conversations with friends and family, discussing the inconveniences of getting routine eye exams, despite having group benefits or health spending accounts that would cover the cost of the exam. 

If long work days, family time, vacations, or long drives seemed to hold back many friends and family from coming into Dr. Colberg’s office, how many other people were experiencing the same limitations when it came to their eye care? In the fast-paced world of today, every minute counts.

As a result, Evolutioneyes Optometry has taken the work out of getting to the clinic, and has made eye care as seamless and convenient as possible, by bringing a full-service eye clinic directly to the patient. Doing so will allow for less time off of work, more time with family, and provide you with the comfort of knowing your eye health is being taken care of.

OUR TEAM

Dr. Trent Colberg

Dr. Colberg was born and raised in Drumheller, Alberta. After graduating with honors from Drumheller Composite High School, he graduated from Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science. He continued his education at Pacific University, completing his Doctor of Optometry (OD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA).

 As part of his optometry practicum, Dr. Colberg spent parts of one year in Portland, Oregon, Germany, and Atlanta, Georgia. During these stops he was able to work at clinics that specialized in, but were not limited to: low vision, vision therapy, pediatrics, primary care, tertiary medical care optometry and disease.  

Recently Dr. Colberg has worked at two busy primary care practices in Calgary. He has also completed contract work with the federal government for optometric care.

 A strong work ethic and dedication to achieving goals are important beliefs of Dr. Colberg both personally and professionally. When not in clinic, Dr. Colberg enjoys playing hockey, cycling, travelling, and is always up for a round of golf.

Taylor colberg

Taylor was born and raised in Drumheller, Alberta

After graduating with honours from Drumheller Composite High School, Taylor attended the University of Calgary, where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Economics, before completing the Canadian Securities Course, Canadian Investment Funds Course, and LLQP Designation. Taylor works as a Trusted Advisor, helping individuals and companies develop and implement strategies to ensure all of their Life, Disability, Critical Illness and Group Benefit needs are taken care of.

Taylor is a firm believer that being a part of a passionate and likeminded team is one of life’s great privileges, and that hard work, integrity, gratitude and giving back are the cornerstones of success both personally and professionally.

In his spare time, Taylor is an avid golfer, enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and is a diehard fan of the New England Patriots. 

Dan Lewis

Dan Lewis brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in commercial real estate and business development to our team. He launched his career in 2009, starting in commercial real estate leasing in downtown Toronto after earning his degree from the University of Toronto. Dan's keen understanding of market dynamics and his commitment to client success quickly distinguished him as a rising star in the industry.

In 2013, Dan relocated to Calgary, where he continued to excel in commercial real estate for another nine years. His strategic approach and dedication to fostering strong client relationships helped him achieve remarkable results, further solidifying his reputation as a trusted professional in the field.

In early 2023, Dan met Trent and Taylor, and inspired by their vision and leadership, he made a pivotal career shift to join their team as the Director of Business Development in the mobile optometry industry. In this role, Dan leverages his extensive background in real estate and business strategy to drive growth and expand the company's footprint.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Dan is an avid traveler and golf enthusiast. He enjoys exploring new destinations and challenging himself on the golf course, always seeking the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
